The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore's Brew at the Zoo

Can you guess what local event combines beer, food, music and wildlife? And is only a couple of weeks away? Our title gives away the answer, but The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore's Brew at the Zoo is an exciting event that combines all of the aforementioned elements, plus it is the cultural establishment's biggest fundraiser of the year!

This year's Brew at the Zoo takes place over Memorial Day weekend, on March 23 and 24. Each ticket will include unlimited beer and wine sampling. More than 80 beers will be on tap, ranging from Flying Dog to Terrapin. Wine from five area wineries will be served, including Boordy Vineyards and Charm City Meadworks.

In addition to the beverages, there will be live musical from a variety of bands to entertain the crowds. Performers include The 8-Balls, Marshall Law, Bosley, School of Rock, The Real Geniuses and Kelly Bell Band. To view the times of these bands' performances, visit the official event website.

Of course, the whole reason for this event is the animals! All those who attend Brew at the Zoo will receive all day admission to the zoo! One highlight will be the new penguin exhibit!

Are you interested in attending? Here's what you need to know: The event runs May 23 and 24 from 1-7 PM both days. If you purchase your tickets by May 22, the price is $49.
